As salamu 'alikum wr wb, ( May the Peace, Mercy of Allah and Blessings be upon you).
All the proof you need that Evangelicals are war mongering and anti Christ.
This last week the Talibangelicals or 'evangelicals' were in a fervor to vote for the 'Anti-Romney' candidate.
How that vote turned out is quite shocking and rather disgusting.
Here is the breakdown of the votes the born again Christian 'leaders' gave: Out of 122 votes, Santorum (57), Gingrich (48), Perry (13), Romney (3) and Ron Paul (1).
Ron Paul whom delivered 4000 babies and who has been married to the same woman for 54 years gets one vote! Yet, Gingrich twice married and claims to be a "family man" is supported over him? Even Mitt Romney a Mormon was given 3 votes over Ron Paul (a Baptist).
Why would two Roman Catholics and a Mormon score higher than a Protestant Baptist Christian?
Simple: Ron Paul does not teach a doctrine of empire. He does not fall into the agenda of Christian Dominionist and Christian Reconstruction-ism. Very dark political agendas in which the Christian masses are used and duped into furthering globalist and elitist agendas (especially against Islam & Muslims).

Why? One thing and one thing only people.... WAR! The Evangelical Christians believe that this is what the Bible teaches them.
"But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence." (Luke 19:27)
This teaching abrogates the prior command:
"But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)
But even than we get a glimpse of darker things to come: 'Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." (Matthew 10:16)
Jesus is commanding his followers to be as wise as serpents. You know like the one that deceived Adam and Eve. Be cunning, so when it is prudent one should be like a sheep among wolves, be as innocent as a dove, but when the time comes.... "bring these enemies of mine, who do not want me to reign over them. bring them here and slay them in my presence."
Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney all of whom have not served in the U.S military, and have children that do not serve all want America's children to go and fight 'the enemies of freedom'. The 'enemies of America'. The 'Muslim jihadist'. When in reality the real true blooded Americans need to wake up to the dangers of these wolves in sheep clothing.
They want anything but peace. They want to carry out the Zionist agenda that will eventually destroy America.
Hopefully there will arise a group of Christians who can interpret their scriptures with a new hermeneutic.
A school of Christians who believe in peace and love and out reach. A school of Christians who can re-interpret the scripture (or at least explain away the violent passages) so that there can be peaceful co-existence with other faith traditions.
Or we will get more of the following:
"I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good...Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a biblical duty, we are called on by God to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism." Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rescue
Hopefully the Christian will prevail over the Christianist.
"Obviously there is a difference in meaning between the adjectives Christian and Christianist. Thanks to Jon Goldman, an editor at Webster's New World Dictionaries, I have the modern coinage of the latter with its pejorative connotation. ''I have a new term for those on the fringes of the religious right,'' wrote the blogging Andrew Sullivan on June 1, 2003, ''who have used the Gospels to perpetuate their own aspirations for power, control and oppression: Christianists. They are as anathema to true Christians as the Islamists are to true Islam.''

May Allah open the hearts and minds of Christians every where. Islam means peace. Christianity means follower of Christ. As said I hope that a re-think can be given to the Christian tradition of violence, power and empire. My hope is that Christians can focus on the spiritual aspects of their faith, and show why their theological suppositions are better than Muslim theological suppositions. This would be my sincere hope.

ReplyDeleteExcellent post mashaallah,
I just want have some light on how (Luke 19:27) abrogates the (Matthew 5:44)?
Is there some sort of "al-nasikh wa al-mansukh" for NT exegesis like we have in Islam?
Wassalam
With the name of Allah,
ReplyDeletePeace be unto those who follow the guidance from their Lord. To my knowledge the Christians do not have a concept of progressive revelation and/or abrogation. Yet, it makes you wonder when you see that God says to Abraham in Genesis that circumcision is to be an 'ever lasting covenant' and than some Christians do not practice this or say that it is a must. So they will give some allegorical interpretation. 'Circumcision of the heart' for example. So they must obviously have some understanding of abrogation. Most of the Christian eschatology has Christ Jesus returning in a second coming in which he slaughters all those who do not believe that he is the Son of God etc. So this 'turn the other cheek' business finally runs it's course. I just hope that the Christian faith tradition can be interpreted in a peaceful way to steer it away from it's more violent passages and interpretations.
